Are you sure it's a truck? I know of a box like object near the launch ramp that's a old shed or something like that. That's what I heard at the rumor mill.
Saw you out fishing today on Bluegrass Saturday Morning. Did you see the guys along the bank driving their four wheelers? I didn't think that they were allowed to drive four wheelers on the Bluegrass F&W property. They had their trucks parked in the parking lot with a trailer behind one light blue Chevy Z71 truck and boards coming down from the bed of the Ford F350 Black Pickup Truck.
240 something views but only one reply to this post. Interesting!
BTW the spot that I know of holds some fish every once in a while. And if you have a pair of waders and can wade out a bit and cast a long distance you may catch a few small crappie there. I've seen a guy doing this once in the past. Now I know how he caught crappie after crappie on that spot. He fish's with ultra light gear and 2 lb test stren line and drives a jeep. He's a good crappie fishermen too.

Yea Greg, i saw those guys, they were working on the bird houses. I went by the spot were i saw the box shape sat and its was not there anymore.. but if you use your side scan you can see the tracks of the tires. we had a good day between the 3 of us we had 13 bass and 2 crappies all on jerk baits 2 over 18 inches. when yesterday and only caught 4 total, but had a great view of all the control burns
I wondered who they were. Both vehicles had the IDNR TIP phone number on their license plate holders. I guess they were with IDNR. That explains things.Yea Greg, i saw those guys, they were working on the bird houses. Now you got me wondering what that box thing was in the lake. You are not talking about the one by the concrete Launch ramp are you? Tracks leading away from where the box was last week? It's going to be very warm tomorrow. I'm thinking about taking the boat out and testing the motor to see if it will start and run sometime. But I think it's going to rain tomorrow.

Paul: Now I know what you are talking about. I thought it was a old shed that was left in the lake. Now I understand what you said about seeing the tire tracks. The IDNR scuba divers put a wire on that old truck and they hauled it out of the water. We were talking about the same truck. I have a good screen shot of that puppy. It's on my SD card in my 898's control panel. Someone told me it was an old shed so that's what I thought it was. I hate to see that it's been pulled out of the lake now. I caught 23 good sized crappie off that puppy my last trip out.
I use to scuba dive years ago and still have some of my gear. But I've outgrown my wet suit!!!!!I'd like to talk to those divers or Kelner and ask them about the visibility in those 25 ft depths where that truck was found. I had no idea it was a truck. It was pretty far out to the right of the ramp about 75 yards out from the concrete ramp. I've seen it on my SI view and my DI view both. I could tell it was a man made object as it was box shaped and had a very bright return as metal would do. It was pretty easy to find with my Humminbird 898 C SI.
I thought you had found something new down at the North end of Bluegrass or something and was not sure if we were talking about the same thing. But I guess it's ok to talk about it now that it's not there anymore. Nobody's going to steal our fishing spot now. IDNR already did that! LOL Darn scuba divers!!!
I was thinking about buying some new scuba gear a few years ago and diving in those pits but health problems put me in the hospital instead. Now it's too late to do any diving anymore. I should sell my old scuba gear but hat to give it up. I'd have to buy a new backpack or BC, wet suit, mask, fins and snorkel just to get back in the game. And that stuff not cheap these days, never was in the past either.
But it's good to know that the company figured out where their truck went.
I often wonder how many other trucks have backed down that ramp and dumped things in those waters.

i just wish i would have fished it lol
Yea I know. I passed it up many times until I saw that someone else had left a marker bouy on the spot the last time I was there. If not for finding the marker and hovering over the truck and seeing fish on the graph in DI mode I would not have fished it.
I wish that Humminbird would hurry up and update the software for our units so that I can put that on my unit and go out and play with it. I want to check out those tire marks. LOL
Maybe some one else will steal another box truck and put it back in that spot.![]()
