Naw....it's an obstacle course to weed out the weak one's before they can qualify to get to the casino. After the night at the casino, it's a passive barrier system to eliminate the drunks before they can drive too far.

Really......those establishments are a well concieved, civil-minded mechanism designed to deter expanded gambling and to increase the quality of the surviving clientelle at the casino.

And it works, the last 4 attempted trips I never made it to the casino.
