The Narrows area is relatively safe until you go a few mile up toward Skaggs Ck
    at the present water level

well the weather was great on sunday. We fished from 8:30 till 6:00 and the fishing was not to bad . Had around 15 bites caught 6. One on a jig, 2 on a crank. and 3 on a tube. water temp was 46-50 . First time i have ever been to barren when it is down and man it was crazy looking. All in all a great day and cant wait till the spring time. Fish was caught in 2-10 foot of water. Anywhere from the main lake points to last channel banks in the creeks.

Tried some of the same stuff-----not same results. One bass 13" on a crankbait. Did not try a tube. Tried just about everything else----not a real good day, but weather was great and it felt good being out on the water. Water is very limited, and you definitely have to be careful getting around.

Last two times I was at Barren, boats ran on the roadbed at the mount of Peters Creek. had to pull one guy off it. both really damaged lower unit.
you can only enter that creek on extreme right bank. be careful

There used to be a round red buoy at the end of the road bed. Is it no longer there?

If you don't know the lake well now is the absolute best time to learn it, on foot! Take pictures and mark brush and structure now for the rest of the year.

The red buoy is gone. There is a "No Ski" buoy about 50 ft from the end of the road bed.

It's tight through there for sure. Maybe only about 30 foot wide? Just have to hug the right bank going up stream.
