Crappie at Guist Creek

I've never been on Guist before, is it a pretty fun lake to fish? Idle only I assume?

It can be tough at times and there is a couple idle only zones but the rest is WOT LOL!

I have seen a 7.8#er come out of it......

Not in a couple of weeks, was gonna go try some sauger fishing below the dam sunday but couldnt get any minnows in town, so thats how we ended up at guist creek

I've always had luck with white grubs in the entrance to the locks.

US 60 at Clayvillage. About 3 miles from Guist Creek.

Is the only ramp at the Guist Creek Marina? Is there a launch or parking fee?

Marina has the only ramp. It's wide enough for 2 trailers but it could use some improvements. There's a $5 launch fee.

May have to check that place out then. It's pretty much exactly the same distance to there as it is to Taylorsville from my house. Thanks for the info!

You will burn a lot less gas chasing the fish around....LOL

Yeah it can get tough at times but once you get on em it can be a great lake to fish!
