Went to the lake today and caught over 50 crappie, with the biggest about 11 inches. I kept quite a few and threw several back, some just to small, most about 8 to 9 inches, but quite a bit of fun for less than four hours of fishing. Had two poles out and at times found it hard to keep a minnow on both and had a couple of doubles. Good fishing and a great day to be on the water.

Bobber fishing around laydowns? Vertical fishing brush piles? Where they at?Went to the lake today and caught over 50 crappie, with the biggest about 11 inches. I honestly hadnt been there in a couple of years, couldnt find any minnows in frankfort and called marina and they said they had some, so at last minute decided to go there. Just fished a couple of spots that i knew used to have a couple of sunken trees in about 18-20 ft of water. There wasnt much of the trees left showing up on my graph but was marking fish so started fishing. Most were at 8-10 ft. Never got to fish any lay downs to see if any were shallow yet, ran out of daylight. Wanted to go back this afternoon but didnt get off of work in time.
Was you dad with ya Dldoss ?
Yup
Have y'all been in the river any lately? It's been looking good but a lot of current.
Not in a couple of weeks, was gonna go try some sauger fishing below the dam sunday but couldnt get any minnows in town, so thats how we ended up at guist creek
