Crankbait Tuning

Orientation of your view or your views perspective is the problem with this mostly for me.

Do I consider right or left as views from the back of the bait looking forwards where the bait will be going or vise versa? Confusion can rain supreme.

Viewed from the crankbaits point of view going fowards or the fisherman's point of view looking at the bait coming towards the fishermen.

First define the point of view then tell us to turn to the right or left after the point of view is defined. That would help clarify this issue for once and for all.

What I do is just tune the bait one way and if that doesn't work I tune it the other way. Some crank baits just don't seem to tune right.

I like the bandits because they are tuned to run straight right out of the box.

I also think that the type connection can have an impact on the baits running. Snap swivils or tying the line directly to the bait's round metal ring.

I use to use snap swivels a lot and there are several different types of snap swivels available.

This is a touchy subject.

Just bend the line tie the direction you want the bait to run. Just remember a little bend is a lot of change. Do it in very small increments. VERY SMALL.

if you are looking at the head of the bait, bend the tie to the side you need the bait to run. like he said do this in small increments until you get the best run possible.
