I'm asking because I would like to go to Childress pay lake soon. Also the earliest I've ever fished a pay lake is in may so I'm wondering about how deep to fish this time of year?

They opened march 3rd that is where i fish, I think you were posting on my thing about creeks and maybe skipjack

childress is also where i go. im actually going in the morning! you can catch them deep and shallow this time of the year. i have caught them from 1 1/2 foot to 15ft deep.

Next week im off all week want to make it out a couple days if i can find bait. An of you guys going next week could use somewhere there with me my pops works
