Heading to Green this Saturday and wondering if it would be a waist of time due to all the rain. I heard it looks muddier than ever.
The rain from last week raised the lake level about 2.5 ft. They pulled it back down to winter pool and when that happened it pulled most of the color to the main lake. This morning 3/8 the upper end of feeder waters had good color but with the 2" of rain we got on 3/8 the entire lake will have heavy color. If I had to guess Saturday's conditions it should be rising muddy water.
Thanks for the report! We saved our money and stayed at home. The rain from last week raised the lake level about 2.5 ft. I was at Green Sat had a great day, caught a lot of fish best five around 20lbs lot of different water color to choose from.
It was a good day all over green, I reckon. I just might have seen y'all out there. I took a break from Muskie fishing for a bit and threw a jig and pulled out the biggest spot I have ever caught. Then I went back to muskie and caught a 41 incher. And you are right about the color differences. We would pull into a place with two foot visibility and move just a little bit and you couldn't see your lure till it cleared the surface. I also caught a crappie, a walleye, and one bluegill. One of the most varied catches for one day that I have had.
