    Cedar Creek

Can anyone tell me the current water conditions on Cedar Creek? Hoping ot get out for a few hours Sunday, but it is about an hour drive for me. Just want to know if it will be a waste of time (too muddy).

    Thanks guys!

Was over there today. Water was 45-47 and color was more stained in the creeks and up towards the bridge but clearer on the main lake. We caught 6 with 3 over 19 inch but no keepers. 2 of the bigger ones on a jig and the other on a A-rig.

Jig fish were VERY shallow. A-rig fish was about 8 foot.

I drove by there today on my way to buy a tractor and it it looked great and was covered with boats. I have never hit it as it's 70 miles away but I plan to. It's a nice looking lake. What are the species to fish for cats, bass, or bluegill? I'd like to take my kids for some fast action, no matter how big or small.

Get them some wax worms and fish for gills .... nightcrawler pieces for Shellcrackers ... minnows for Crappie (your choice of any of these three)
Fastest action is going to be Bluegill. Shellcrackers will be larger, but require fishing a little deeper. Crappie are hit & miss, until they come shallow to spawn.
That's been my experience, anyway ... from boat or bank.
