Anyone been down there this past weekend? Curious of water level and temps. Heading down on Thursday afternoon for the weekend. Will be going out around Trooper.

Was in the Trooper Island area. Water was about 3 or 4 ft below summer pool. Surface temp 50-52 degrees.

how was the water clarity and how was the bite?

Sat/ I fished about 6 hours maybe boated 6 fish, what I call bank runners 1.5/2lb fish.
Sun was worse. Mouth of obey a lot of surface trash has floated down to the wolf river area.
You will have stain not muddy....temp should be around 51 to 54. You could hit it right an slay them. Good luck an let us know, watch this site you ll get good info www.smalljaw.com.
focus on Dale smallmouth, (whats working that day)..... these smaller fish are moving up, the big ones will follow

Would love to meet up on the water if you will be out any from Friday-Sunday. Ill be in a blue and white stratos with an evinrude motor. Will be launching at main dock and will be around trooper area or up in sulphur. Give me a yell if you see me.

Water clarity was good, temp about 53.The guy I was with got all the fish[cheated] a 18"LMB, and a 18" SMB. Drifting bait.{stolen from rick],

how was the water clarity and how was the bite?

Fished Fri and Sat with live bait (minnows). Caught 15 on Fri and 14 on Sat.Had to really work for them. Fished from daylight until 4 pm.
