Whether anyone believes this story or not...it's real...and it does exist...and apparently growing in numbers according to abc news.

The reason that I know it exists is because I used to work with a guy who was a part of this group...this was several years ago, maybe 5 years ago or so. I had never heard of the group until I heard the term "sovereign-nation" mentioned when someone was speaking about the co-worker. He was an architect, had connections and could bring in some decent sized hospital projects...but over time he seemed to be more full of bull than anything else...then he got into tax trouble, got into trouble paying his utilities, all sorts of things. And since he had shown promise early on about his capabilities of bringing in construction projects, the owner of the company bailed him out not once but twice...wrote him a check for 15,000.00 dollars...and another for 10,000.00 dollars...and no sooner than the second check was written I think he came up with some bogus idea that he had been under a lot of stress and needed to get away with his wife and vacation for awhile...this was despite owing back taxes on his home, etc.

Long story short....the boss finally fired the guy. I believe the guy lost his home, etc.

Fella's...I know I have complained about the government here plenty of times...but I do believe in paying my bills, taxes or otherwise. But I guess this story is alarming to me because I do sense a feeling going on in the U.S. of a true hatred for all things government...some people just take things way to far and over the top...but this group is growing in numbers.

I knew a guy who was the same way. I never really cared for him and his selfish ways.....so much so I couldn't be around him. I really do understand the disgust with our crap elected officials and their crooked ways but you have to pay your fair share.

I strongly believe in the people of a country like yours and mine should be supporting their government as we the people ARE the government. Now we may not like who others voted in so vote their asses out next election. Be more involed in the right to vote. A countrys people must stand together and support themselves and their government. We all have political parties that we favour but I am talking bigger than that. A concept your founding fathers were in favour of is working together to build a strong country. The government is not your problem its the men and women that you put in power that are the problem. There are hundreds of thousands of good men and women that work tirelessly every day that are government workers. They are not the enemy. The military is part of the governement and you dont hate them. Of course not. The crazy anti-govenment terrorists that plot against the american government worry me as they may bring down your country. Ok got that off my big gills. I will be quiet now.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, - 2Timothy 4:3

I wish I was smarter when it came to the bible, there are so many things in there I read that I can't figure out what the meaning is, such as "wanting to have their ears tickled", what does that mean? Tickling of one's ear's is equal to telling someone what they want to hear?

All in all...these soveriegn people are just another group of extremists this country now has to deal with.

Basically you have it (two thumbs up) There is a little more if you read all the verses around that verse, but I didn't post those.

Watching that report you posted, and listening to those people, it reminded me of this verse, even though of course the bible is not talking about the government.

These people seem to believe that none of our laws or rules apply to them. They tell each other and have convinced themselves that they are justified to live by their own self administers set of standards and laws.

For me it came down to this....if your going to enjoy anything that tax payer money drives then you better pay your share. His I'll do what I want attitude would get me going so like I said I didn't hang with him. Funny thing is....it all caught up to him according to his exwife! LOL I never talked to him but it sounded like the IRS figured something out.
