Of course some people think they are only profitable because of beer sales!

Tim- That is tooo funny. I have a good friend who was working in the UL athletic dept. back when UL made the switch from CUSA to the Big East. I kidded him about not coming to the SEC, and he said that UL would never go to a conference that banned alcohol sales. This was according to those further up the chain like trustees, board members, etc., and this was mainly due to being a large city thing. Of course, I had a few other joking comments about the real need for alcohol..........

I recently brought my daughter(15 yrs old) to the UK/GA game and I was thankful no drunk fool was around. It was pleasant enough and rowdy at times to enjoy the atmosphere without some drunk dufus yelling obscene things or just getting out of hand. I saw many young kids around with parents and grandparents as well.

I'm not foolish enough to think my daughter hasn't heard or even say some of the cuss words behind my back but I don't want to hear stupid stuff from a drunk fool either and I'm 48!

I took her to a NASCAR race years ago and she was dressed in her Jeff Gordon stuff looking cute as hell and we all had a good time. A few people poked fun at her and she loved it. One guy behind me was drinking and seemed to forget I had 3 young kids with me and after the second MFer I turned around asked him to consider what he was doing and he understood how out of control he was. So not all people who drink are ignorant but if you are ignorant to begin with the alcohol lets it flow without any filters.

Unfortunately though many people don't have a personal gauge on what is to much and they have to be told to stop or leave which can ruin it for the rest. If UK allowed drinking I would still go to the games but I would not enjoy the drunk turd that has to spill beer and yell cuss words especially if he was behind me!

All that being said....I love to tailgate, eat and have a beer or two while tossing the football or playing cornhole! That's some dang good times!!
