Kentucky as a whole does not foul much. MKG asking to let Miller start against Vandy to help Miller get into the flow since he was scoreless the first 2 games helped and hurt. Miller was the leading scorer but MKG only played 18 minutes because of foul trouble and never got into the flow of the game himself. Kentucky doesnt necessarily need all 7 of their rotation to play the absolute best they can to win but back to back goose eggs by Miller can't happen either.
The team that got hosed by the refs was NC State against North Carolina in the ACC semis. Game was tied and UNC player drives to the left of the lane while NCST player is moving with him and has established position but still moving the same direction when UNC player lowers shoulder into him, knocking him down, then UNC player hits the winning shot. It was either a charge or a block but the ref swallowed the whistle and called nothing. It was a charge, no doubt. Jay Bilas talked about the definition of the charge block in the rule book. Since the State player had established position and was moving with the offensive guy then he does not have to have his feet set like most people think. Mark Gottfried, ex Alabama coach and current NCST coach, was livid and the camera caught him saying some choice 4 letter words to the official. If that play was the first 12 seconds of the game a foul would have been called, the last 12 seconds a no call. There was a ref standing less than 15 feet away looking straight at it when it happened.
