    BoatUS safety course

Holy smokes this is a long monster of a course. I am learning quite a bit of stuff, but there is a lot that is irrelevant to us here in KY. Mainly ocean stuff of course.

Im taking this one so I can rent boats from Ft knox and other military bases I may travel too. Its just one of the requirements i have came across at other military installations also, so might as well do it.

I went through the Ky course a couple of years ago. The discount on Insurance did not amount to much but it was a discount.

I too learned quite a bit from it even after boating for 40+ years. Learn as much as you can about the bouy's. They are placed in KY waters. The danger bouy's can warn you of rock bars, submurged obsticals.

It's well worth the price of admission, free if you do not care about receiving the certification.
