I am gonna head up to Cedar Creek on Thurday. Anyone know how the water temps are doing up there. I figure there will be some big bass heading into the shallows and feeding with all this warm weather we will have.

I am heading to Cedar Creek today (Wednesday), I'll pass along whatever I can to you. I'm hoping the water isn't too muddy. If so, I may trailer on down to Cumberland.
I was at Cedar Creek on Sunday. The water temp was 48-49 when I got there around 11 am. The creeks were real muddy but the main lake was clearer. I didn't get a bite until about 2 pm. I switched from a jig and spinnerbait to a t-rig soft plastic craw. I was fishing extremely slow and shallow in a mid lake cove. It then got great for about an hour and a half. The boats around me and I got tons of fish. It then died off again (it got cloudy). The water temp had warmed up at that time to about 53 degrees. Good luck and let us know how you do. I am either going Thur or Fri to Cedar.
The creeks are still muddy with a morning water temp at 53 degrees. The main lake is much clearer with the same morning temps. The area around the three creeks confluence was a few degrees cooler. The afternoon temps did get in tho the 58 degree range. Caught only six or seven fish with two at the 15 inch size. The best fish came on a jerk bait fished fast and brush hog in the main lake area. Te brush hog bite was very suttle. Never really felt the fish, the line just started moving. Good Luck.
GULFPAN,
you might want to check wolfe creek dam before you go, my buddies wouldnt even put in yesterday morning, they said the flood gates were open and all the turbines were open, water was very rough and very swift.
i pulled up on a sand bank on the lake side yesterday and ate lunch, you could watch the debris being drawn towards the dam on the water, thats alot of current.
Hey everyone. I went up to Cedar Creek on 3/15/2012 from 12pm to 6pm, the water temp. stayed around 57-60 degrees. The water is muddy up the lake and clears the closer to the dam you get. I caught two fish and missed two bites. One fish was 5 lbs. and 19 1/2 in. long, I caught her at 2:00 pm. She was full of eggs. I did notice a school of small bass swimming together at the last ramp down the lake. The wind was a little annoying all day. I caught my second fish a two pounder at 5:30 pm. I believe the fish is turning on in the evening, unless its a cloudy day I wouldnt be in a hurry to get there. I left at 6:00 pm because of the storms and was fishing alone. I hope this info helps. I caught both fish on a dark color texas rig.
