    Jig, crankbaits, spinnerbaits

Those are the 3 obvious choices most will say. I don't use alot of different baits in muddy water I think a select few work better most of the time. In clear water you have alot more options and cloud cover and wind are bigger factors.

Also chatterbaits and buzzbaits have their moments.

    Re: Staind water colors/baits

Stained water, I like using using chartruese or bright yellow skirts on spinner baits with siver blades; if really stained florescent colored blades. Crankbaits again I prefer chartruese or bright yellow & if the Sun is out something with siver flash. Worms or creature baits blue/black with sparkle or hot flourescent colored tails. Jigs, black with black/blue skirts with blue trailer with cartrues on bottom side.
I realize that if one asks 10 folks will give possibly 10 different answers . . these seem to work well for me through the years. When the stained water tends to be on the green side I adjust my skits on spinner baits to chart. mixed white or blue. Worms on the hot tails or dyes tend to go to flo. orange. Same with crank baits in a green tinge I the turn to flo. orange sides usally in crawfish paterns. Jigs can the be adjusted in a brown and a brown and orange skirt.
Again, this is just a personal opinion and what has been good for me thru the years. Hope this helps!
