Water was stained on main lake, muddy up in creeks. Temperature was roughly 62 by the end of the day. Caught a couple bass early on a crankbait. Tail hooked a giant carp. You can imagine I initially thought I had a giant bass on until it swirled at the surface. Caught a 15 inch catfish as well. Then we started seeing the **** boats and to cap it off a tri-hull speedboat. That's when we left. I have a hard time understanding why someone would want to run a speedboat on that lake. It really isn't big enough for that. Anyways, got back to Settlers Trace, it was a zoo. So all in all, at least it was a nice day. Missed a couple fish on the crankbait. I am amazed at how warm the water is already. They'll be spawning soon if it keeps up. Like maybe the next couple of weeks. Kinda wierd. It's only March.
