I typically use buzz baits, poppers and jitterbugs, i never really throw the "walk the dog style" spooks, never had much luck with them. But it could be just because where i fish but i dont know. Top water bite in the cedar trees at cedar creek is always great early morning when the fog is still on the water.

Thanks I love throwing top water but I've never done it this early in the year. I love throwing skitter walks, I've thrown them for about 4 years and have never caught anything less than a slot on them.

I will throw Buzzbaits and prop baits during pre-spawn, Pop-R's post spawn, and Walk-The-Dog pretty much anytime the water is above 62 degrees.

Hey Magik, that's wild my magic number for walking baits is also 62 degrees. If It's above that I won't even hesitate. Super Spook junior and it's on baby......

That can't be right. 71 degrees? I saw it reach 61 at Taylorsville, but 71 seems impossible anywhere in Kentucky right now. Except maybe in a bathtub.
