rough river water clarity and temp?

Thinking of going crappie fishing and was hoping someone could tell me how it looks. Would hate to make the drive if it looks like chocolate milk. Any help would be very appreciated.

This past weekend, I read temps from 61 to 64. The creeks are muddy but the main was what I call stained from North fork past Axtel. I seen several boats catching crappie on the main around steep rock banks near the channel as I was fishing for bass. Hope this helps and good luck.
