Launched at Wax at 0700 am. Water farther down then I expected. See photo board for ramp picts. First fishing spot was Conoloway Creek just a the mouth in the bay. Bass hit Top water spooks, Striper Swiper Plugs, and meduium size Heddon Topedos when thrown tight to sure, left to settle a second or two, then twitched out from the shore. Most hits were in the first 10 feet from shore. Also id good there for bass with nightcrawlers under bobbers set 4 feet deep and fish out from shore just far enough to make them float. Crappie were also hitting the bobber rig.
Wax to Ponderosa was muddy water. Conolway it was starting to clear up, and below Moutadier to the dam was stained but much cleaner.
If you go up in Dog Creek towards the island, be careful of shallow water on the South West to North West side of the island. I discovered a 22 foot Raider with a Honda trimmed up can run in as little as 1.3 feet of water!
Yeah, dog creek is REALLY shallow. So is the area in front of rock creek just west of the island. I have a busted skeg on my lower unit to prove it.Stay in the channel when on Nolin at winter pool or you'll be sorry.
