I was wanting to catch the Shellcrackers in the Mustard grass this year but was wondering with all the warm weather, am I too late? Thanks Tech

Last two years on the shell crackers i have done good with a 1/16 oz. jig tied with dark brown and mustard color deer hair dressing fished on bottom.
Thanks Ironworker... what local do you work out. I do alot of work in the power plants, the latest was at TVA in Drakesboro. Are you hearing if anyone is catching Shellcrackers yet with this crazy spring it shouldn"t be too long.
I was born and raised here in WKY and after i graduated high school i moved to NYC and hung steel and helped manage my relatives construction business. I was fortunate to have a permanent salary position where i made enough that i could retire and move back home to KY at a much younger age without having to continue working a 40 hour week. Ive never worked out of any of the locals in the WKY Tri-State area or any of the southern states.
Most people ive talked to are catching largemouth, crappie, catfish and a few white bass. I havent heard much about how the shellcracker are biting.
