Conditions: Mid lake water temp was 66 early AM, For those trying to get here or thinking about it. The bite is far from its pre spawn 100mph but it is terrific. One key is be on the water as early as possible. I have fished with in site of Lilly Dale all week and have been on places leaving a good bite trying to find the bigger fish. This morning using live bait anywhere from 12-30. Loaded the boat with small fish.
Also while on the water spoke with Randy Gibson, Randy guides out of the state dock, Ky Trophy Hunter's. He shared with me some pic's smallmouth O/6lbs. his customers had caught this week and last week, (on live-bait)
