Thumbs down Re: Military (Political) Justice

[QUOTE=kygorski;485637]We couldn't even fight Canada with using them. There will be more cost cutting, its sad but true.

What an ignorant unintelligent comment. I am totally offended. We have an excellent military and saved many american soldiers over the years and fought side by side with the americans for many wars. I will stop there before i get my Irish up and say something to get myself banned.

I saw that comment and didn't refute it because I figured you would chime in. I totally agree with you, Gills, the Canadians have been steadfast allies with us and should't be disparaged.

I agree about Canada...good people up there to the best of my knowledge. Heck they can't be all bad if they put up with taking in our draft dodger's back during vietnam days.

    Canada's alright by me.

We closed 30% of all of our military bases.......BECAUSE stupid politicians ordered it.

We have no need for a draft. Rather, we need to NEVER ELECT Idiots to office. The constitution of this great nation specifies that our FEDERAL government is to protect us.......THAT means funding the military to protect during peacetime and wartime. It is a **** shame that Bush and Clinton chose to be short sighted and cut the military when the threat of Islamic Terrorism was at its greatest.

Even now, we are cutting spending on the military........which is a completely idiotic idea.

If you think the cuts in the 90's were bad, you should see what's coming down the pike! It doesn't look good. I survived the draw down of the 90's and it wasn't pretty. This is even worse. The Army has to cut back because the administration is cutting funding. It makes sense to keep the best and brightest soldiers with the most potential for future service. How do you decide that? Here is one of the new rules. One bad evaluation, one alcohol or drug related incident, or one domestic violence incident and you are barred from reenlistment. The Authority to bar any soldier from reenlist has been delegated to the brigade commanders. These commanders can bar a soldier from reenlistment for any reason they see fit. Of course they are going to dust off AR 600-9 and start putting soldiers out for over weight and PT failures. The QMP boards will be going stronger than ever and they have introduced the QSP Boards for the upcoming E-9 board that convenes in June. The QSP will be a part of every senior enlisted board in the future. These boards will review the records of MSG an 1SG for evidence of stagnation in that rank and potential for future service. There's more coming but it's not written in stone yet because they don't know how many they have to cut. If sequestration occurs in Jan. 13 they will have to cut to the bone.

Yet, the Muslim Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah Akbar, still hasn't stood trial. And, they are stll debating whether he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motives to slay as many Infidels as possible.

Now, we have a guy in a War Zone on his fourth combat tour who cracks, and he must be executed immediately!!! But a Muslim Psychiatrist who was Stateside in a nice safe office all day, murders 13, wounds 29 of our own soldiers, and they try to argue that the poor lad suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experieces.

Two and a half years later, they still haven't tried this murderous Muslim. Lets see how fast SSG Bales gets tried!!

    Good post.

Hopefully later this year we can rid ourselves of the socialist pestilence that has infected Washington DC.

Where is all this "clamor to try SSG Bales quickly and execute him" coming from? I've been reading the news about this case, but have somehow missed that. Hasan's trial is set for June 12. It was supposed to happen in March, but his defense team requested and were granted a delay, over the protestations of the prosecution. I'm sure that if Bales' lawyer tries, he'll be able to drag out his trial, too. The wheels of American justice turn slowly.

Red face Re: Military (Political) Justice

When I said that. it wasn't meant as a slam. I have a cousin who's in the canadian military,We met in northern germany while he was on active duty as I was.Hes retired also and put in almost 25 yrs.I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way. When my grand parents came to america, a part of the family went different ways. Some went to detriot, and moved across the river,Heck I think there were almost as many polish immigrants to canada as there was to the USA.
