Fished a small tourney today. Crazy tourney hours. 12-8pm. My buddy and I won it with a little over 16lbs. Most of the fish we caught were locked on beds. Our big fish (5lbs 2oz) was caught on a shakey head on a lead in bank to a pocket. There are waves just starting to pull up but most are cruising. We caught all our fish in backs of specific types of pockets. We caught our fish on Senkos, shakey head and paca craws. The water was clear and low 70's.
Wish we could all be so fortunate to have that knowledge, but most will not fill those of us that don't fish Green religiously, in. I fish too many other bodies of water to spend too much time at Green, we fish 5 different lakes a year, by the time you figure one out, you're gone to the next, but I love to fish with our group of guys.
Oh well.... On to Willisburg!!!
I haven't been on the lake much at all this year but have actually had better luck...seems like this warmer weather has had them where they're supposed to be as opposed to wherever im not fishing
I understand what your saying. We do not fish anywhere but Green. My husband has fished Green all of his 40 years and I grew up in Gadsden, Alabama. That's where my name came from, sweet home Alabama. (I'm a sweet person too)Wish we could all be so fortunate to have that knowledge, but most will not fill those of us that don't fish Green religiously, in. Oh well.... On to Willisburg!!!My Dad taught me everything there is to know about bass fishing in the best part of the U.S. for bass fishing. We almost always get on fish in 3 stops or less, it's kind of a game to us. Not taking anything away from anyone I guess with our combined knowledge we would think that fishing Green is easy. Tight lines to all.
