I tried both a rebel wee craw and tube jigs this morning. Got a couple bites on the tube jigs but couldn't set the hook into anything. Probably little sunfish. Landed 2 with the rebel wee craw. One thirteen inch smallmouth and a fat little eleven inch spotted bass. Both were found in the slowest moving water I could find. Water is probably still a little cold for them to be fighting current. I figured burning the craw through the creek was probably a bad idea so I put a little splitshot about 12 inches up the line to keep it down so I could slowly crank it in. Seems like it paid off. These were my first creek fish of 2012.
