WTH does a coach have to do to be in the hall of fame? Pitino deserves to be there and he will someday for sure but it won't be this year. Article is up on ESPN, sorry I don't have the link.

Usually it is customary for someone to be retired before getting voted into a HOF. I am sure his time will come.

Not coaches. Denny was induicted while he was syill coaching, coach K is in there now. It is not unusual for coaches to be inducted while still playing. With players it is different. I believe there is a waiting period on players. If I am not mistaken the waiting period was waived for Jordan.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I wonder why the basketball HOF does it that way? I believe the football and baseball both have a waiting period, which makes sense IMO.
