    Plenty of hatching flies/bugs, but no mayflies yet.

    Almost like we've been transported ahead a month in time. Had full grown midge in the house last night, and skeeters will tear you up already. I'm pretty sure skeeters are using my livewells as a condo.

    I have never seen the hatches here as big as in South Carolina. We had monster hatches...... if you shook the tree you were in for a smothering of mayflies!

    We have a cloud of Mayflies. The lake is about 300 ft. or so from the back of the house and I can see the water constantly moving. It's feast time for the fish, frogs, and turtles. I also saw a couple of geese and some blackbirds enjoying themselves. Late yesterday evening I was walking the dogs and the bugs started flying up off the grass. They ran and jumped after them until they were exhausted when they came back inside.
