I was pleasantly surprised and impressed my the maturity, civility, professionalism of the young men on both teams. With so much on the line, no outbursts, no temper tantrums, just pure sports etiquette. Two very well disciplined groups of players. Great game, just sorry they both could not have won. But both teams in my mind rank as winners because of their conduct.

Heck that was an awesome game!!! The cards showed class when they helped MKG get up after a foul.....we all commented on the act. The state of Kentucky should be proud.

Just goes to show that the rivalry means so much more to the fans than the kids on the court...

Now, I wish the idiots burning couches on UK campus right now would take notes on how to act. First off, we still have a game to win...and second, this aint Morgantown WV.

First, congrats to UK, the better team won tonight. The kids on the team this year all carry themselves with class, so its hard not to feel good for them even though the cards lost. 2nd, its unfortunate that some UK fans don't know how to carry themselves and are trying to overtake west virginia as the most classless fans in the USA. Act like you've been there before....

    Re: Props to the Cards

Back in '98 when I was on campus at UK, we had the sense to at least wait until we had actually won the Title Game to start celebrating in the streets...and even then, I don't remember burning couches and flipping cars. Although our mayor, Sugar-Britches Gray, says we did about $40K in property damage back then...so we must have done something.

    Ah well...GO CATS!!!!!

And I'll tell you, not that I was harboring much hate for Rick Pitino before...but I actually think he was quite classy in his pre-game interview with Coach Cal and Jim Rome. I thought his post-game comments were classy. Making the remark that he and his team were pulling for UK to win it all and bring the trophy back to the state was a classy comment. As much as the fanbase and the media wants to believe that Pitino and Cal hate each other's guts, they didn't really act like it in the interview. Maybe it was for the cameras...or maybe the media likes to exaggerate that? (I know, hard to believe that the media would ever stretch the truth.)

Regardless, I thought both Louisville and Kentucky coaches and players acted in a manner that they can be proud of - Good show for the bluegrass.

I think the media just wants to find contraversy anywhere they can. The cats will probably not really be tested by Kansas, probably win by 12.

    Re: Props to the Cards

A well fought game by both teams.

Like I said in an earlier post....The Cards lose no one that matters. They will be back in force in November.

I hope the idiots go to jail that set the fires...
