If your spouse or significant other fishes with you then tp is a must and the baby wipes will win you a few points too. Also, go to Walmart and buy 2 or 3 of those $1 disposable plastic ponchos. They are like gold if you get caught in a rainstorm.

Man I don't leave for a fishing trip in my Yak, boat, Atv, motorcycle or car trip without wet wipes. Like Gerald Swindle said....sometimes a man needs a maintenance wipe. Lol!
You guys should search you tube on his wet wipe needs.

Good idea on the poncho. I need to get a few to have and throw one in the tackle bag.
Besides the obvious tackle things i always try to take with me are as follows
good quality pliers
sharp knife
rain jacket
Paper towels or Tp
A medicine bag with ,Tylenol or motrin,Chlorotabs for allergy and sinus,Pepto for stomach issues.Dental floss,And my vaping supplys ,aka electronic cigarettes.
And also some medical gear, band aide, antibiotic ointment
But also i would agree if you have a conceald carry it would not be a bad idea to take your weapon with you .As i was fishing yesterday on a very isolated reservoir and they was about 4 guys shooting guns in the water and drinking. So i always think it is best to be prepared if the need be . As on most lakes you are out of cell range and could not call for help if a problem arose
Hand sanitizer is a good thing to have too....especially if you get a bad cut, need clean hands to eat something, or to kill the smell of that slimy drum or carp you just had to unhook. Ha ha ha!
I take it you launch out of Cox Park often?
There's many times where I've felt uncomfortable launching and loading my boat solo there. Really makes me mad when thugs are hanging around the courtesy docking wanting to chat and asking to be taken for a ride....I hate that more than anything else! I always make sure I'm in before dark if I'm solo when using that place.
A good set of acurate scales is something I don't leave home without because I release most everything I catch and don't want to miss the weight on a beast.
Any of you guys ever use those towels that are compressed into small tablet form and when you add water to them they unfold?? I've seen them on the BassPro website. Just wondered if anyone had used them...
Sounds like you are going to need a bigger bag or maybe even some luggage.

I keep my license taped to the inside of my tackle box, since it's rare I go fishing without it!
DAVE
I have several copies of my license. One in my wallet, one in my tackle bag and an extra one at home in case I lose one. But you can always reprint them on the KDFWR website anytime.
