Sat. fished mid lake it was a tuff bite. My big fish was a little over 20 without too many others, to go with it. I fished a little of everything spawning areas, grass pockets, red clay, I just couldn't put anything together.
SUNDAY!! if this forum doesnt mind my sharing others pic's and stories, here are a couple. The Park ranger stop by w/his children b4 daylight got bait from me, they boated 2 over, I wont repeat what his deliar scale indicated (I'll say O/6, let you be the judge. Both fish out of Ill Will, one off a flat near deep water pea gravel the smaller off a wall. What a pattern.
The next picture is of one Over/6 that one of Randy Gibson's,( Ky Trophy Hunter's Guide Service) client caught this week, that is his 3rd week in a row boating a fish O/6.
Myself I started the morning off with as fast a bite as I have seen for 2012, one LM with a bloody tail. I wont bore u w/my pics.
Randy Gibson, told me he had his best morning bite that he can remember....they boated fish all morning

Thanks everyone for the response, I enjoy passing along the info, remember I'm not on here daily and private messages may go un read for several days .....
I talk to several guides here at the state dock and have several friends who fish so live-bait info is always available w/ lake conditions around mid lake....enjoy trying to help,
my email is [email protected].
i wont try an predict how long fishing will remain this good, an remember Dale isn't a lake
that will producing small mouth using a similar fishing style like Barren, Nolin, etc.
a good rule is move out a little further from the points at times and then move a little further out lol....For current info, for fishing on Dale look at WWW.smalljaw.com. It features Dale, with lots of experienced individuals also eager to help
