Re: stripers at night on Lake Cumberland

Went down Friday. Pulled shiners from 10am to 7 pm. Mainly Lily and Wolf. Marked lots of bait with several fish in the "cloud". Only Caught one about 12' deep that was 23 15/16" He just finally was short...hopefully he is legal by today

I have not tried the night bite, but you guys have got me wanting too really bad. Hada mama with me so that wasn't gonna happen.

Best times for stripers are right at first light and the first hour or so of the day and the last hour to dark. I would try and plan trips to hit at least one of those times. Yes, they can be caught all day long, some days. However, early and late you'll find more of them feeding, more aggressively. Overcast days, more likely to have them feeding later.

Lowerider, I heard they were not going to put that in to effect until after May 15th or something like that. Can you or someone at C-Land confirm? This will be good news for some us heading there in the next few weeks.

    Thanks,

HMMMM....got it. Stripers. Alias "Rock Fish". Now I know where that name came from.

I actually think the fish are just "funning for cover" as they feel threatened.
