I've sold one on there before, pretty easy to do. There's guys from all across the country on there selling used motors. However, the smaller horsepower engines usually get snatched up pretty quick.

Also just call your local dealers as many have motors, but don't take the time to put them online for sale.
Jet-A-Marina - http://jetamarina.com/
Southside Outboard - http://southsideoutboard.com/index.htm (I bought a 40 hp yamaha from here)
Sportsman's Edge - http://www.thesportsmensedge.com/Home.aspx (bought my Ranger from these guys on consignment)
I have a Johnson 70 hp for sale in Louisville. 1987 runs good, looks good.
My hull went bad so I had to buy another one and it had basically the same motor on it.

I don't know how much you want to spend or how far you re willing to travel to buy.
But, Bass Pro shops have some really, really good deals on some holdover new motors.
These are motors that may be from prior years as far back as 2008, but never sold and are new.
To check inventory go to Bass Pro website and click on boating department then scroll down to outboard motors. Use the drop down menue to find a store close to you and there you can check eack stores inventory.
Example the Bass pro in Hampton Virginia has a 2008 90 HP exlpto for $5458.00. This motor is brand new, never been used with warranty even though its a year model 2008. A 2007 90 HP Optimax for $6183.00 same deal, new.
Most of the bigger motors 75 HP + appear to be located on the east coast.
ok thanks for the suggestions![]()
