Fired?? He should be sued by zimmerman as well as NBC and that person should be arrested for his wrong doing. NBC said it was a mistake?!?!? Really??? After all the play and damage that tape has done and it was a mistake? Good gosh. I wonder how many people have tried to harm this man because of that tape? Zimmerman needs to go through the legal system for his actions but NBC should pay for their careless use and manipulation of information.

I am not certain if he broke any law that he could be prosecuted, but if he did they should throw the book at him.

They should make it a law that you can't edit 911 tapes if you choose to air them and call it the Zimmerman law.

Nothing like you folks have. We also have the right to bear arms as part of our constitution but we also have rules that govern who should be allowed to own them and mental health cases, anyone on anti depressents and certain medications and criminals cant ever get a permit to own one. But God forbid you folks should ever have to abide by any rules. You should be allowed to do whatever you want right Parker. You are so right Parker about one thing. You have me confused with someone else cuz I would never slam America. I consider the States to be our good friends south of the border and we have fought side by side in many wars. I was addressing the nation itself that guns are getting into the wrong hands and I pray something is done about that soon. Now the folks that come to this site i believe to be hard working, normal, responsible people and should own as many guns as they please. My concern has to do have gun laws to stop the crazies and criminals from getting them. Zimmerman was unstable and should not have had one. End of story. Its my plea to the US, Mr Redneckshadtrap, nothing more than that.

I haven't kept up with this Martin/Zimmerman fiasco...I was wondering if there has been any news or headlines about encreased racial activity because of this? The reason I ask is because I saw something on facebook about the Black Panthers calling for a race war or some hog wash along these lines anyway....then again, it's the Black Panthers we're talking about, so this may not be news at all.

Exactly,the media and Racist African Americans in this country have made this out to be something it isn't.When Blacks are charged equally in hate crimes for attacking Whites I'll say there is equality.
I can show you a recent case in Virginia where a Teenage White couple where savagely beaten ,Raped,Murdered,and Mutilated by 5 Blacks who admitted hating White People,yet they are not charged under Federal Hate Crimes.

Just to set the record straight, as far as I can ascertain it is against the law for a felonious criminal to own guns in the USA. That still won't keep them out of their hands because there are multiple ways they can get them. There is always someone on the street willing to sell them, residential break-ins, thefts, and robberies will also help them to get one. Drug dealers have guns and they can buy them legally if they haven't been charged with a crime; they also do it through exchange of drugs for guns; they are into criminal activity for money, so the guns are sold on the streets.

I took the statement you made about "God forbid you folks should ever have to abide by any rules," and "You folks should be allowed to do whatever you want" as condescending, insulting, and very offensive. It's easy for you to portray Canada as a perfect nation because you think we don't know anything about it; that would be a wrong assumption. By the same token, you haven't spent enough time in the United States, far enough south of the border, to know anything about our people; all you have read and/or seen on TV is most likely sensationalized to get people to read it or watch it on the news. Like you, we are civilized people; not 'you folks' and not a bunch of hillbillies and cavemen.

If Canada was all you want us to think that it is, why were YOU a guard at one of their prisons where only criminals are incarcerated?

Have to agree media is using non current photos that make a 17 year old look like a 14,a better pic is of him at a rally wearing a hoodie and much taller and bigger.
As for what happened dunno dont desire to convict him prior to trial,media is sure trying to as well as the african american community.
Personally if legally carrying a gun(this is a carry state with a permit) and someone regardless of color starts pummeling me they gonna get the whole clip.
And if it turns out its a 17 year old punk in a hoodie with a nose ring so be it.
Im 130 lbs sopping wet and know several 16-17 year olds hitting near 200,who in reality know that not much can be done against them,regardless of creed ,color etc.I would waste them all equally without discrimination.9mm semi wad cutters on a 45 frame,if that one dont get ya the other one will.

Just to clarify I was never a guard at a prison. I was a caseworker/counselling just to get inmates to accepts responsibility for their offences and hopefully direct them into a more prosocial lifestyle. Did that for seven long year. Before that I was a Probation/Parole Officer for 10yrs and then Youth Counsellor for 1 year. Always trying to accomplish the same goal. Of course we have crime in Canada as does every country and city in the world. I never said Canada was perfect but alot if not most of our crime does NOT involve guns. So sorry that you and some of your redneck friends are so sensitive that you cant handle the truth when it is mentioned to you. I mean really get a grip. The US is not perfect either but you folks think it is and it plain naive of you. Get out more and see the world. I sure have and i have spent plenty of time in the states and would be scared to death to live their today.

We are not perfect,but its a basic right here to bear arms ever since we kicked the british out,had it not been so we would still be british subjects.

Agree we have a high crime rate with guns its an imperfect world,but merely having them does not preclude crime or violence with them.An example would be the Swiss who by law require every citizen to have served in the army keep a fully automatic weapon at home,yet few robberies occur with full auto weapons.
It is also one our rights called free speech so your entitled to your opinion,generally within the confines of where one is doing it at.
To prove the point we did it twice once in 1776 and again in 1812.
One american woman dethroned an english king,Wally Simpson,just be glad there wernt two of them.
It isnt a perfect system if you notice the staue of justice she wears a blindfold while balancing the scales,but lacking something perfect she will do.
With the gun laws in england and in canada ive heard horror stores about shotguns and hunting being in danger havnt a clue how true they are some what blown out of porportion by the media so not making any judgements about your country or its laws.But here it is a fundamental right to bear arms.It is not a question of anyones right other than was the shooting right and who knows innocent until proven guilty seems to have been chucked by the media.

I for one would rather see you stay. I did not like your post but everyone has an opinion and I can accept yours even though I didnt agree with it. I put my foot in my mouth alot more than you so come back and take a little criticism and life goes on.
