Fired?? He should be sued by zimmerman as well as NBC and that person should be arrested for his wrong doing. NBC said it was a mistake?!?!? Really??? After all the play and damage that tape has done and it was a mistake? Good gosh. I wonder how many people have tried to harm this man because of that tape? Zimmerman needs to go through the legal system for his actions but NBC should pay for their careless use and manipulation of information.

Exactly,the media and Racist African Americans in this country have made this out to be something it isn't.When Blacks are charged equally in hate crimes for attacking Whites I'll say there is equality.
I can show you a recent case in Virginia where a Teenage White couple where savagely beaten ,Raped,Murdered,and Mutilated by 5 Blacks who admitted hating White People,yet they are not charged under Federal Hate Crimes.

Have to agree media is using non current photos that make a 17 year old look like a 14,a better pic is of him at a rally wearing a hoodie and much taller and bigger.
As for what happened dunno dont desire to convict him prior to trial,media is sure trying to as well as the african american community.
Personally if legally carrying a gun(this is a carry state with a permit) and someone regardless of color starts pummeling me they gonna get the whole clip.

From what I've read, and who KNOWS if it is true.

* He stopped following him when told. I actually think he was OUT of his truck at this time and headed back to his truck.

* Martin jumped him from behind......according to Zimmerman and eye witness accounts.

* Martin pummeled him. Bashing his head into the ground. According to grass stains on Zimmermans back and Zimmermans account.

* The gun, which was still secured THEN came into play. NO idea how.

* Martin tells Zimmerman he's going to die.........Maybe Martin saw the gun, maybe Zimmerman pulled the gun.

* A shot is fired........Martin is DEAD.

If that is even CLOSE to what happened the arrest is unjust, and the MEDIA biased towards Zimmerman will lead to some serious multi million dollar lawsuits when Zimmerman is acquitted.....

Bottom line.........Someone is going to to get rich. Hell, Martin's "grieving" parents have already trademarked his name and have appeared PAID on numerous programs......

The crux of the charges is the fact that he did NOT stop following Martin when he was told to by law enforcement. Instead, he keeps following, saying, "They always get away." Then he goes on and makes sure this one doesn't.

All of these white verses black crimes...man I get tired of hearing about it all...I get tired of seeing some black guy caught on tape, struggling with two or three WHITE officers only to have the suspect's family cry and complain about police brutality. Two youngin's down in Knoxville, TN...Both the male AND female were brutally raped and murdered by a gang of black thugs...but, guess what? I bet none of you all ever heard about it...I never heard about it either until just today. I wonder why the national news didn't pick up this story and run with it?

Actually it appears what you have "seen/read" is incorrect. After reading how NBC edited the tape out of context I was curious to know just what the truth was and searched for the 911 tape to actually listen to it for myself. While Zimmerman does say "they always get away" he said the much earlier in the conversation, and not after he was asked to stop following him. Actually the "following him" portion of the tape sounds to be a very short period of time and then he does say OK when asked not to follow. You can also hear that he stops following because when he was following you could hear the wind (from running) and you could hear he was breathing heavier. It sounds like he then stops and is coordinating with the 911 operator where he is and where he can meet with the officer that was on the way.

It does appear that much of the reporting of this has been inaccurate at best, or purposely slanted at the worst.

Now as far as what happened after the call I don't have a clue. I don't know enough of the facts to form an opinion at this point, but my initial gut feeling after hearing the tape is that second degree murder sounds a little severe. I just hope that the all the evidence and truth comes out at the trial and the jury does it job.
