Everyone has some good points. I wonder how many of us read the labels of the foods we eat? I wonder how many drink alcohol in excess or in moderation over a period of years. I wonder how many smoke or chew tobacco. Really all of these things can lead to a premature death, even eating too much fish that are contaminated with mercury.
But, other than eating totally organic in some form (Or quit eating altogether) there is no way to prevent some toxins or non-natural products from entering the body. I've seen the effects of these habits working in health care and they can cause premature death (not living to the normal life expectancy). Personally, I don't do any of the above (used to but no more) but I would probably eat a few of those crappie but only in the recomended servings that have been studied to not be harmful by the KDFW. I've even eaten some of the stripers that have the parasite(Sorry stripernut, I hope you don't puke!)
Later,
Tim
