Here are a couple pix from my post about my outing on the Kentucky River at Lock #1 this morning.
I thought this was pretty unbelievable. I lost lure on the bottom on my second cast of the morning. About an hour later I "caught" it with another lure, right thru the eye of the snap.
I reckon it is true that it's better to be lucky than good.
First post, second picture..what kind of fish is that?
That is what I call 'white trash tarpon,' aka skipjack. Lots of fun on a flyrod. I had one that I hooked and lost a couple times that must have been 18". He cut my tippet on my last clouser, never landed him.
