Tyme caught the blues....catfish that is.

Some blue catfish caught on the Ohio river 4/11/2012

What a blast today. I caught several in the 20 to 30lb range and had one at the boat that was at least 45lb. Knute (the heathen) was afraid to lip grab him and he broke my 30lb mono leader.

These are the smaller fish that I kept. No camera on the boat.

same goes for me. If the line breaks next to the boat, I'd be jumping in for it. Sadly, I have done this a few times.....just got caught up in the excitement. Actually caught one from the boat and one from the bank when I jumped in.

KYCatfish, we were in 20' of water, but I admire your enthusiasm!!

stripernut, I've been friends with Knute (the Heathen) too long to "fire" him.

I was ignorant of the location of Jamestown,Ky so I googled the location. You've got a long trip to get up here to the Louisville area.

If I could guarantee you we'd catch fish,I'd invite you for a day on the river. Some days my coffee cups of "World's Best Fisherman" are true and other days I want to smash them all!!

At $5.99 a lb at Kroger's, I've now got $179.70 worth of catfish in my freezer from this trip.
