They seem to run pretty true...For throwing plastics I have a 7'2MH XF and a 7'2MH F....I honestly couldn't find a rod in their lineup that I liked for throwing jigs, so I went with a Dobyns....I'm sure you could use the 7'4H if you're throwing big jigs deep or one of the 7'2MH's for smaller jigs
i have a 7'2" MH and use it for jigs almost exclusively
i love the cumaras, i have 3. i use one for carloina rigs. one for worm rod and one for a jig rod.
Considering they do not make a heavy ( power ) rod in the cumara you need to look at the action , there is a considerable difference between the fast and xtra fast . The 7/2 mh xtra fast is a mean broomstick machine great for heavy jigs and punching mats. Step it down from there , one of my favorite rods in the lineup is the 6/8 mh xtra fast a great all around rod for flipping and big wormin. I was down at Dale hollow this past week and I was punishing those big brownies in deep water on long casts with the 6/8mhxtra fast. This is one rod that I have found that I cant break on the hook set and if by chance you can break it take it back to where you bought it and they will put another one in your hand....FREE. Thats hard to beat ...........Jarrod
