I've never traveled or resided in a foriegn country...but judging from what some of the military veterans on this board write from time to time...The United States is still the best country by far to live in. This may be true...but at times it sure does feel to me like this country of our's is going to hell in a hand basket.

Not sure which I dislike the most...every politician that holds office or is running for office, or the media.

It also confirms what I said earlier about him disregarding police instructions to stop following Martin. I still think he's going to end up being convicted of manslaughter, at least.

Has anybody else read somewhere in these stories that supposedly Mr. Zimmerman did stop pursuing the victim after being told to do so, Supposedly he told somebody that he stopped then was confronted by Mr. Martin... I suspect regardless of Mr. Zimmerman's guilt or innocents, he will be crucified for it anyway... How can anybody pass judgement with so little evidence.

The media has done this on most high profile cases. Duke lacross players, Casey Anthony and anything with Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson or political figures. They use their own legal team and experts to discuss the case and they lead the public along with their interpretation of the law and evidence. It makes for good tv but the actual case and evidence can be different.
The media....so far has Zimmerman guilty of racial profiling and has tagged all the racial tension on top of what is already a tragedy. Zimmerman has the unfortunate glory of being in a case that has been adopted by the media as important to them. Life ain't fair.

You're right, in the media he's guilty of racial profiling, but I think even if you leave that out of it, based on, again, what's been put forth in the media (because let's face it, what else do any of us have to go on?), there's still enough evidence to convict him.

I think the defense hinges on WHEN he stopped pursuing Martin. I'm still not quite clear on that.

I read as some have already pointed out, that the FULL TRANSCRIPT and the FULL AUDIO clip seems to point out that Zimmerman stopped pursuing when asked, and THEN was attacked by Martin. If that is the case, and I'm not sure it is, then I think this is a clear case of self defense.

However, if Zimmerman continued to pursue Martin, then I think he instigated the whole affair.......who knows. Only Zimmerman REALLY does.

Bottom Line........no matter what the outcome, RACE relations suffer. Sharpton and his band of misfits have blown this over the top. I think every single BLACK on WHITE crime should be blown out of proportion like this, and see how things end up........

Hahaha how do you know this? Might be a little early to make your mind up. All I'm saying is wait until the trial and hear both sides and then decide because right now it's just one sided info tainted to ones agenda.

I agree, we don't have the info that the police had that night and decided to let him go without being charged. Following someone is not a reason to be assaulted. The media has so many people fooled. They won't even show a picture of Martin looked like at his present age. They only show one that makes him look young and innocent from years ago. It didn't take Obama long to have his parents show up in Washington. How many black kids are killed every day in the U.S. and this one gets the presidents attention. IT'S ALL POLITICAL, the police that arrested Obama's friend in Boston, the girl that's so sexually active that she runs out of birth control every month and calls Rush Limbaugh, and now this. Where are the warrants for the Black Panthers that put a bounty on Zimmermans head?
