    Noel.....

Well here we go again with another bigtime UK recruit being looked at by the NCAA. Is it just me or is this gonna be an every year event under Calipari? How many times will it take to throw mud against the wall before it finally sticks?
Now the stuff they are looking at is all BS and won't amount to squat, the bigger issue is his grades. He right now is NOT eligible to play and rumor has it, he's dumb as moss on a tree stump.

Not hatin so please rest that. All I'm saying is every single year you hear this stuff about one of Calipari's recruits, every single year. Right after the title game there are pics now showing Davis hugging World Wide Wes and a bigshot from Nike that was sitting right behind the bench..........Hmmmm? It's only a matter of time boys I'm telling ya, I hope that banner came with Velcro, lol...Welcome to the wonderful world of Calipari.

It's a sportswriter with a personal vendetta. He's spent the last 3 summers trying to dig up something on UK's recruits.

If Noel goes somewhere else, this is a non-story. Same thing with Davis and Bledsoe. Nothing was ever uncovered for any of them.

Investigate all the recruits. Look at each of them with a microscope make sure they meet all the qualifications. But, make sure that all other recruits are looked at with the same microscope

No arguments there fellas, none at all. But like Lachlean McClain said last night and you can't argue with this statement.

''When you have numberous games vacated from your record including TWO Final Fours you have to expect this kind of scunity"

    It is what it is.

    ^^^^This.

And, quite honestly, I'm fine with it.

You'd have to be dumber than a box of pig excrement to lie, cheat, or steal when you know the whole world is watching you and waiting for you to do it...salivating at the opportunity to chew you up and spit you out. It'd be like an officer in Vietnam putting on a red tee-shirt and walking out into an open field knowing that there were 437 VC snipers in the tree line.

But there is no formal investigation into Noel or Kentucky. A couple of NCAA folks stopped by to snoop around at his high school and determine if there should be an investigation opened. Right now, nothing. The stuff in question appeared to be funding of his travel to take unofficial college visits, because he flew. This stuff happens every day. It's only news because it's Kentucky/Calipari.

This is nothing to do with the reporter whatsoever. This is the NCAA snooping around at Noel's old high school. Read this line:

"Cindi Merrill and Frank Smith, assistant directors of enforcement with the N.C.A.A., went to Everett High School on Tuesday to meet with school officials about the 6-foot-10 Noel, who spent his freshman and sophomore years there. Merrill and Smith specialize in basketball-related issues."

It has ZERO to do with a reporter with a personal agenda.

Now all that being said, he hasn't played a game for UK, so whatever they find, if they rule him ineligible, will not be on UK, it will just mean they lost a recruit.

I disagree. I think that the NCAA makes these little trips to talk about players fairly often. The issue is that it only makes news when it's a Kentucky player.

Oh really...I have never heard of the NCAA making these trips to question a high school about grades and relationships unless they were investigating something. I seriously have a hard time believing this is common practice. And despite the paranoia of big blue nation, it is not the only time it makes news is if it involves Kentucky players. It is just that too many Kentucky fans only follow Kentucky and not sports in general so they only know about it if it is a Kentucky player. Besides, it helps many of them justify the tin foil hats and the deep feeling of paranoia that everyone is out to get them

You all can chit chat and talk about this all you want, and being a UK fan but also a fan of college basketball in general, I wish the NCAA would set some kind of precedent....If this were going on at Western KY or Loyola it would probably never be seen by the NCAA...If a guy breaks the rules that are set forth by the NCAA by all means rule him ineligible...If not, then let him play...They ruled Enes Kanter ineligible a couple years ago and I had no problem with it...He obviously accepted money, in which you lose your amatuer status...Ineligible...Didn't the Boatright kid from UConn do the same thing last year and get like 5 or 6 games....If the break the rules sit their ass out...After enough "student" athletes aren't allowed to play it should change the landscape of the college game

The bottom line is the NCAA is about as consitent as the weather in Kentucky...They need someone who is willing to do what Roger Goodell is doing in the NFL and absolutely lay the hammer down...You shoot em the first time they step in your yard and they probably wont be back again
