3' grass pickerel? How big do they get?

The state record grass pickerel is only 5lbs. The state record chain pickerel is only .63 lb.

I was told a few years back the toothy critters that love to spawn right about now in Ky and Barkley were Grass Pickerel. Obviously they are not if the State record is 5 lb. Whatever the creatures were with the snouts full of teeth that like Spinnerbaits are, John tried to catch one of them as well
