If you look at those examples on that page, I'm throwing the ones at the bottom... Just take a #2 hook and wrap some lead wire thread on it to give it some weight. You want it down in the water column about 1 or 2 feet. Then take some nylon rope and unwind it and either twist it our or brush it out. All you do is tie about 4-5" of rope on the hook with whatever thread color you want. I always glue the head and then cut the hook off... Fish it like a giant streamer with fast strips... they will hang their teeth in the rope!!! The only PITA part is getting the rope out of the mouth. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and clean out teeth real good and they are good to go!
