Hot is right. We got off at 930 am to beat the heat and prevent insanity.
It is hot but I'll take it over cold any day, we actually never got out until 11:30 or so and spent about 5 hours bluegill fishing on stoner creek, the long arm of the law was even braving the heat checking license... we caught several nice gills and some good size shell crackers so the heat don't seem to bother the fishing, it does pay to be prepared though, sunscreen and a few bottles of water in the cooler and it can still be a good day... We kept seeing one couple that was jumping from shade to shade so don't let the heat take you out of your day, get out from behind that air conditioner and enjoy this great world we live in.
A good friend of mine is building a house at Kentucky lake. Three of us started working on it at 7 am and worked till 7pm. We sucked down over a case of bottled water. We got a lot done but gosh it's is hot is right
I fished last night til 3am and had the creek to myself!! Stayed cool in shorts and a tee shirt and the bugs went away about an hour after dark.

Fishing at night is prolly the best bet in this heat. We had success in the daytime but I'm about ready to try fishing at night!
