Smith bay

Does anyone know if the ramp at smith bay is ok to launch a boat? I've never launched there with lake below summer pool. Last I remember it was very shallow at summer pool. Other ramps you might recommend that a close?

You'll be just fine. I camp there in the fall when the lake is on the way down. Also, the lake has come up some recently making it less of an issue.

But if you're too worried, Sugar Bay is another that's close by and I use it in Jan. to launch my duck boat.

I have launched my Ranger in Smith Bay many times with the lake lower than it is now. Sugar Bay is also an option but further to drive if coming from the north...also the road into Smith is better.
