I order my IN/OH map and got it one day before I saw these selling at Gander Mountain. These are nice as now while I'm trolling I can see the contour lines and the drop offs etc. I'm noticing that a lot of the underwater structure is pretty deep.

I also read that Lake Master has a hovercraft boat that they use to survey shallow waters. Anyone see them out there in a hover craft boat? I sure didn't.

I've found that some of the shallower water shelfs are not showing up as deep water where the water is deep. They maps shows a lot of shallow water where it's really 19 ft deep. I'm guessing they didn't do enough data points in this area to get an accurate computer rendering of this shallow water shelf. They could have made a few more passes thought this area to collect more depth data. Or else their GPS unit recorded some faulty location data.

But it's nice to see the shoreline and to be able to put my waypoints on the map so that I can see how they relate to the underwater structure and the shoreline.

I've caught about 3 or 4 bass in the three pound range in the last two weeks. I lost a good one today near the boat. Dam thing jumped and threw the bait. I hate it when they do that!
