Green River Lake Report and Big Fish Bragging! :)

Just got back home from a much needed trip to the lake after being confined to the wedding preparations all spring. Luckily my new wife was itching to get out fishing again about as much as I was so we made a quick trip over to Green River to camp and enjoy. Got out this morning and got into a mixed bag of largemouth, crappie, and catfish while pulling crankbaits around. Most of our luck was in 12-20 ft. of water and all but one of our fish were caught on chartreuse... either jointed shads or regular clown shad raps, they just seemed to like the chartreuse color a lot today. Highlight of the day came in the form of a new personal best largemouth for me. 9.2 lbs, 23.5 inches long, 21 inches around. Got my quick measurements and a picture for the album and sent her on her way. Hope someone else gets to enjoy her soon!

we fished last night from 10 until 5 30 this morning,caught alot of fish,very few were less then 2lb,had 3 small mouth over 4lb with several other nice ones,2-3lb.had a largemouth at 5.8 with alot more 3-4lb fish.we had at least 30 fish.3 of us.

I don't know if you're used to catching that size fish or noy but I certainly admire you for releasing that kind of fish

That's a pig out of GRL, or any other lake in the state for that matter....Congrats on catching and releasing that big girl

Hey Guys, sorry about the delay on the pic... just got things loaded up on here finally. Here she is... And no, have caught a number of bass in the 5 and 6 lb range over the years but this one set my personal best for sure!
