Couldn't tell you, I was fishing the lower end.

Earlier this spring, I was having that same problem with fish throwing my crankbait. I slowed down my retrieve which allowed the fish to get more of the bait in its mouth when it hit. This increased my catch rate a lot.

Check your hooks. They need to be extremely sharp. I exchange mustad triple grips on all new cranks. Catch ratio will increase dramatically. If the hook does not catch on your thumbnail, get a stone or hook sharpener. You will see a difference!

Thanks for the replies! I'll try these things out next time I'm out and using the crank. I haven't had much luck with a crank after that day, mostly been catching them off the Shakey head. I have yet to have any luck catching fish after dark out there. If the water temp is cool enough during the day is it possible they aren't feeding after dark?
