Call it what you want ,I have caught a bunch of 70-80- lbers in 19 70's and 80's.Those fish were weighed on scales.This fish was much larger any of those fish.Length was 7.5 ft from nose to tail with 42 inch girth.Regs on Cumberland River below Lake Cumberland have changed since then.NO SNAGGING is allowed now.Any fish foul hooked has to be released.This fish was hooked in tail with a swim bait while striper fishing,therefore had to be released immediately.No way to weigh fish without taking out of river, to find scales large enough to weigh it.That fish is ???? years old and deserves to be released to raise more little ones.
