I was shoked to discover that this part is no longer available as Shimano has discontinued the CT 100. I was able to find a replacement, with some difficulty. The CT 100 was the first "high end" reel that was generally adopted by freshwater fishermen in the US. It was very popular. I know that round reels are no longer fashionable but mine are between 15 and 6 years old. They retailed anywhere from $120.00 to $159.00. Are we as fisherman to junk perfectly good reels because this part is not available? Every reel they make has a push button almost exactly like it!! Is there not another model that could or does use a button that fits?
It is a shme that they have failed to support this reel when it would, in my opinion, not be so difficult. Are we supposed to throw our $150.00 reels in the garbage every 10 years after meticulously cleaning and maintaining them?
Shame on Shimano
Find one on ebay that is JUNK ............buy it for parts...........fix it.

I have the same issue with most of my shimano reels. They no longer make parts or carry parts for some of my old stradic reels. I've started to slowly replace them with cheaper reels..........
