Does anyone do nay drifting for catfish in the sumer? Just wondering on other peoples experiences with this.
Total waste of time!! May as well stay home and invite the in-laws over for the weekend!!! More action watching the grass grow!!! Root canal is more fun!! The only reason to even waste your time with this method is if you want to catch lots of fish with a minimum amount of effort!! Can't imagine why anybody would want to do that!!
P.S. If you go, use a basic Carolina rig, keep bait (cut shad, cut skipjack, and/or live bluegill) suspended approximately 5' above bottom in 25'-40' water. Try to stay around the channel edges as well. Jugs set to the same depths are also productive, but can be a hassle if you try to do rods at the same time. Shoot me a pm and I will tell you some areas around Louisville down to Leavenworth that produce for me. Good luck!
